Landscape Architect: CARBO Landscape Architecture
A National Historic Landmark for its architecture and landscape, Oak Alley Plantation initially engaged CARBO Landscape Architecture in 2013 to design renovations to the East and West gardens surrounding the main plantation home. Working closely with both Oak Alley and CARBO, Mullin’s scope consisted of site development, reclaimed brick walkways and vertical columns, heavy timber pergolas, and the installation of specimen plant material to create the new gardens. Our team oversaw the protection of the plantation’s namesake live oaks throughout the duration of the construction project, all while the plantation was fully operational with guests on site daily.
