Landscape Architect: Spackman Mossop Michaels
Project Scope: Specialized soils, rooftop plantings, irrigation, specimen trees, landscape maintenance
The roof deck at the Standard sets a high bar for luxury downtown living in New Orleans, much of it attributed to the lush landscaping, reflecting pond and giant planters. The specimen-sized river birch trees, so large that they impact the downtown New Orleans skyline, were flown in by crane by Mullin’s construction crews, as was over 500 cubic yards of specialized rooftop planting soil mix.
